    Rinsing frozen vegies?

I was just wondering if anyone knows if I'm supposed to rinse my frozen vegies before I use them? It doesn't say to on the package. I just don't want to rinse them again if it has already been done and wash away any more of the flavor than I have to. I am sorta new to cooking if you can't tell. Stick out tongue Thanks!

Frozen vegetables are ready to use from the package, these frozen packages are a great convenience for us. They have already been washed, trimmed and cut if necessary, which allows us to empty into a bowl and cook! I prefer the microwave for cooking frozen veggies, it takes almost no water so you don't loose any vitamins while cooking. This also keeps the veggies much more firm, crisp and flavorful!

Very helpful! I'm going to try it the microwave way. Thanks!

I eat nothing but steamed veggies and I just love the steamer bags they sell.  I take either fresh or frozen veggies (sometimes both) straight from the freezer or fridge, throw them in the bag and toss in the microwave.  You can put seasoning on them but I usually don't.  They cook absolutely perfect!!  Not watered down veggies.

Hi leefamilyof3, Welcome to the web and I know that you'll enjoy it and have a lot of fun and posts. That is a very good question, sometimes us that have cooked for a while, take for granted or forget what we had to learn, sometimes the hard wayWink. Everyone is correct, you don't rinse them. If you don't have or use the ones that came in a bag to steam in the mic?, Tupperware sells a boul made just for doing that, and it's well worth the investment, exp. if you can pick up one pre-used, like at a garage or yard sale, and I have used it with frozen vegs.
