Looking for healthy quick recipes that qualify for the Weight Watcher program

Hi,  My name is Pink Peddler and I am a busy saleslady peddling my pink skin care products.

I am a lifetime member of Weight Watchers just recently losing 20 pounds.  My husband does

most of the cooking at my house but I need simple Weight Watcher type recipes for him to make. If

over 5 ingredients, he can't handle it.  I need something with quite a bit of fiber, low caleries and low fat.

Lunch and dinner primarily.  Any ideas?

Around my house we watch our fat intake and I have found my husband loves turkey burgers. I use white onion and bell peppers and ground turkey meat.  I chop up the onions and bell peppers and make 1/2 patty, then spread on the onion and bell peppers and then top with some more meat.  Press them together and either fry them in a pan with no grease on a low heat or broil them on tin foil in my little oven on my counter.  To give the turkey meat some flavor, top with Lemon-Pepper seasoning from the salt & pepper section of your local grocer. I also use it on chicken breasts to give it flavor. Another easy dish, I call Turkey goulosh, is brown turkey meat with seasoning (this makes the turkey meat tastes better if it is browned first), then add taco meat seasoning (the little packets McCormick are good) and let it cook down with a little water, add a can of lima beans, a can of whole tomatoes, a can of corn (if you want it), or any other veggies you may want in it.  It is so easy.

First of all, your husband using 5 ingredients or less is right on.  That's called real food.  You start adding all the other processed things and you are off the mark.  Secondly get off this wrongly aimed corporate diet stuff.  I just bought a can of  "100 calorie per serving" progresso soup out of desperation from my corner market.  I was shocked how salty it tasted.  Looked at the label and the two "100 calorie" servings (which would be 10% of my daily diet) had 80% of my daily sodium.  Wow....how healthy.  If any part of a companies product line is this unhealthy and  this stealthy, why believe anything they say.

I am also a WW I shared this recipe with my members for cupcakes.

1 box Betty Crocker Cake Mix (your choice)

15oz can of pumpkin.

Very simple.  Mix the two together nothing else.  I bake them in a 12 cupcake pan follow the cooking directions for cupcakes on the box.  I tried chocolate, and spice.  I will try the carrot cake mix next.

G I Jane, That's very interesting, no eggs or oil!?! How much dose that change the taste and texture of the cake? What about it's sweetness? and do you ice it? Thanks, granna2
