SadHuh?I'm looking for recipes that are used for weight watchers so that i can eat healthier and lose some pounds off my 5'4'' frame and 190lbs..I was home in bed for 2 1/2 months from a knee surgery and gained some extra pounds and wish to lose them. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!

Re: looking for recipes

I weighed 260, once at 5' 7". My favorite diet was to eat nothing but fresh fruit, and frozen, or fresh vegetables. You could eat all you want, and the weight will fall off. Don't add salt or fat into anything. Stay away from potatoes, carrots, rice, avacadoes, and bananas, for awhile. Some turn to sugar, and some have to much fat.

I'd cook up a package of frozen, mixed, vegetables, and put Fleishmans salt free margarine, on them. keep dry toast, with the margarine, and a little honey for something sweet, Desert, could be all the watermelon, cantalope , strawberries, or any other that you could fill up on. Mix the fruit together, for a nice fruit salad. Hope that helps. I lost 60 lbs. in 3 months, that away. Plus it's very healthy.

For protein, eat different kinds of beans. Or a piece of grilled chicken breast.

Re: looking for recipes

OK this is going to sound strange but I did this and it is great!
Take a cake mix--any flavor, I used Betty Crocker Dark Chocolate.
1 can diet soda, any flavor you want, I used Diet Dr. Pepper Cherry Chocolate (new limited edition flavor)
Mix cake mix and can of soda.  Bake according to directions on box.
No oil, eggs, water just the soda and cake mix.
It is a little more delicate than one with the eggs and oil but it is (or should I say was) good.

I think I may try a spice and ginger ale
yellow and cream soda
the possibilities are endless.
I was told that the whole cake for WW points is 7 but who would eat a whole cake even if it is true?
If any one else tries this let me know what flavor you tried and if you like it.

Re: looking for recipes

I was out for breast cancer recovery and neck surgery so I know what you mean by being down and gaining weight!  Best thing is to keep moving and keep walking and slow down on the treats and starch.  more veggies and lean meat.  Good luck!
