Carrott Hockey

How many times have you tried to chop fresh baby carrots and they end up on the floor for the cat to play hockey with? Its time to stop chopping those orange flying missles and put away your safety glasses broom and dustpan because there's a better way to do business. Here's a tip to stop those orange projectiles from causing you so much frustration. Take a handfull of those orange babys and put them in a clear plastic bag and smash them with the flat side of a meat mallot or a rolling pin. Cut 1 section as you normally do for the cat to play with. He's happy and so are you. This method creates chunks of all sizes. Fantastic for stirfrys and soups...salads?..hummm?

Hi flourman, That's interesting, except, I'd think you'd get mashed carrotsSurprise. I just put them in my Pampered Chef chopper and chop them, no flying carrots and nothing to sweep up, my cat dosen't play with themSmile. Now, how do you shrred cabbage with out the whole neighbohood ( remember the commerical?) knowing it,Big Smile. I have it everywhereWink.
