I purchased the Betty Crocker Julian Potatoes initially as a side dish. Last night I was looking in the pantry to see what to cook for dinner. I knew the Julian Potatoes would not be enough for my husband, son and myself for dinner.
I found 2 lbs of breakfast sausage in the freezer. I cooked the breakfast sausage, crumbling as it cooked and drained completely,
I followed the directions on the box of Julian Pototoes. I added the sausage and a can of Cream of Mushroom soup and mixed real well. I put the dish in the oven and cooked 10 minutes longer than the directions stated (20).
When it came out of the oven, I sprinkled top with cheddar cheese.
It was WONDERFUL! My son and husband had 1st, 2nds and 3rds! I will be going to the store this weekend and will be purchasing more of the Julian Pototoes.
Note: I used "Hot" sausage, but I am sure most people would want to use "mild".
