Yes, you can substitute melted butter for oil, in equal amounts.

1 stick butter is 1/2 cup

1/2 stick butter is 1/4 cup

Re: Baking a SuperMoist Cake

Try this next time--Don't laugh either this work and is LOW points for Weight Watchers.......
Cake mix- any flavor
1 can diet soda--any flavor
Mix the two and bake as directed.
It is really pretty good.  I made it as a bundt cake (no frosting needed) It is a bit "crumby" but not bad.  A friend at work figured it out and the WHOLE cake is 8 WW points.

Re: Baking a SuperMoist Cake

I'm telling you it is the strangest  thing..No eggs, no oil, no water..Just the pop.
I did a super moist chocolate with a Dr Pepper Chocolate soda(limited edition flavor) it was great.
A friend did a white cake with orange pop.
Just think of all the flavor combinations that you can do!
