Way back when....when Betty Crocker first came out with a bread machine, there was a book that came with it. There was a recipe called "Basic Bake" for white bread and I'm hoping for whole wheat. The "secret" ingredient was lemon juice. I would love to have that again. I carried that recipe with me, written on a torn envelope flap, from home to home, as I used to care for the old folks as a home health aid. They always had bread machines and looked forward to my baking it. This particulal recipe always came out perfect. Plain and simple, not to mention easy. I'd LOVE to have it again. It might have been around 1999, but I don' t really think it was earlier than that. Thanks in advance. ~cooksalotta
