I'm happy to introduce the newest member of our staff—Kristen. In her role as Assistant Food Editor, she will be preparing recipes for our taste panels where members of our staff meet to evaluate new recipes nearly every day.
Here is Kristen in our Betty Crocker portrait conference room where we held a welcoming party for her. If you look behind Kristen, you will see the eight portraits of Betty Crocker—the oldest dating back to 1936.
Kathy, one of our technicians set up the party. Here is Kathy and Kristen holding a platter of fruit (cubes of pineapple and watermelon, blueberries and starwberries) arranged to look like a flag.
We also served pastries with raspberries, blueberries and some with almond filling and we couldn't resist putting out three juices: pomegranate juice, grapefruit juice and grape juice in keeping with the red, white and blue theme. Kathy also made a beautiful flower arrangement with flowers from her garden using red peonies, white daises and blue salvia.
These are just some easy ways to put some fun in your food on July 4th!
